Abortions are not rare.

More than 62 million abortions are estimated to have been conducted in America since 1973 and about 30,000 happen every year in Michigan.

Infanticide

Infanticide has a long history.  Many cultures have routinely practiced it for several reasons, including birth control, destroying handicapped individuals and killing female children because of cultural preferences.

Today, euthanasia encompasses multiple practices including lethal injections, doctor assisted suicide and the withholding of basic care from non-terminal patients.
